Elegantly perfumed, thick and round bodied, our Orange Pekoe tea is sourced from the BLUE FIELD Tea Estate, which is one of the oldest established and most prestigious tea estates in Ceylon.

When describing the size of tea leaves and their origin, the term Orange Pekoe is used.  Orange refers to the Dutch noble House of Orange-Nassau, which brought tea to Europe during the 18th century. Pekoe refers to the top bud of the tea plant. Orange Pekoe comes from the tips of the tea leaves. It is an excellent grade of whole and twisted tea leaves.

Orange Pekoe comes from the tips of the tea leaves. It is an excellent grade of whole and twisted tea leaves.

Founded in 1921, Bluefield Tea Gardens has established a strong reputation for producing top quality Ceylon Tea. The tea, grown across acres of estate land situated in the tropics of Ramboda, Nuwara Eliya towards the North of Sri Lanka, is renowned for its supreme aroma, taste and healthy antioxidants. Surrounded by misty mountains and lush tea plants, the BlueField tea estate produces high grown tea at an altitude of 1,285 meters above sea level.

The mountain area with clouds all-year-round is the perfect environment for growing tea, nourishing with plenty of rainfall. This is the secret to accomplish the best and unique tea with fruity, honey and floral sweetness and freshness in taste.

100% Pure Ceylon Black Tea in intact leaves

PREPARATION
Add 7-8g of tea to 150ml of boiled water. Pour out the water after the first 10 seconds just to warm the cups. Refill the boiled water, brew for 3 minutes, and enjoy your tea! You can refill 3 to 4 times.

Iced tea can be made in a 600ml bottle filled with room temperature water with 7-8g of tea. Brew in a room temperature environment for 2 to 3 hours and then move to the fridge for another 4 hours.

STORAGE
Store in a sealed jar after open, room temperature, avoid direct light.
